FAFSA applications open
Everyone planning to attend college should complete and submit the FAFSA as soon as possible beginning Oct 1 for the strongest opportunity to access financial aid. FAFSA must be completed for every year a student will be attending college.

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships
The College Board Opportunity Scholarships reward you based on your effort and initiative, rather than your GPA or personal statement. To apply for these scholarships, you just need to complete key steps on your journey to college, like filling out your FAFSA and submitting applications. The individual scholarships range from $500 to $2,000, but if you complete five of the six actions, you’re eligible to win $40,000.

Regular decision college application deadlines
For high school seniors applying to colleges, it’s important to note that the deadline for regular decision applications for many colleges is between November 30, 2020, and March 15, 2021, but this varies by each college. The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test often taken as a practice for the SAT, but it also allows eligible juniors to enter into the National Merit Scholarship Program, and provides opportunities for other recognition programs.
